1. What this site is

BAC Calculator Pro provides a free, educational tool that estimates blood alcohol concentration (BAC) based on information you enter, such as weight, height, age, sex, and drinks consumed. The calculator uses established estimation models (including the Widmark equation and the Watson body-water method) to produce an approximate result.

This is an estimate, not a measurement. It is not a breathalyzer, a blood test, or any kind of certified or calibrated device.

2. Not medical or legal advice, and not a safety device

This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it in full.

BAC Calculator Pro is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not:

  • A medical device or medical advice of any kind
  • A legal device or legal advice of any kind
  • A substitute for a breathalyzer, blood test, or professional assessment of impairment
  • A tool for determining whether it is safe or legal for you (or anyone else) to drive, operate machinery, or perform any safety-critical task

Individual results vary significantly based on genetics, medication, medical conditions, food intake, sleep, hydration, tolerance, and the accuracy of the information you enter. Two people who enter identical information can have very different actual BAC levels. The only way to guarantee a BAC of 0.00% is to not drink alcohol.

You agree that you will never use this calculator, or any result it produces, to decide whether you or anyone else is safe or legal to drive, operate machinery, or perform any activity where impairment could cause harm. If you have been drinking and need to travel, arrange a sober driver, a rideshare, a taxi, or public transportation, regardless of what this calculator shows.

3. Age requirement

This site discusses alcohol consumption and is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. By using this site, you confirm that you meet the legal drinking age where you live, or that you are accessing the site for general informational purposes only.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BAC Calculator Pro, its owners, operators, and any affiliated individuals will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including but not limited to personal injury, death, property damage, legal penalties, fines, license suspension, or loss of income, arising from or related to:

  • Any decision made, or action taken, based on a result produced by this calculator
  • Any inaccuracy, error, or omission in the calculator’s estimates or in any information presented on this site
  • Any use of this site in connection with alcohol consumption, driving, or any other activity
